Solo Trek XFV for FS2000 is my own design of what a camo-paint version might look like and my idea of how it might fly. The proof of concept prototype can tilt its fans forward up to 20 degrees to obtain maximum speed. I took the liberty of artistic design and decided to let the ducted fans function as ailerons as well, or better yet--elevons. This was my first venture trying SDL edit and I wanted to see if I could combine props with elevons--the answer is yes, but I would have liked to see a faster prop rotation.

Solo Trek XFV is a brand new type of flying machine that you step on, strap on, and fly. It has Vertical takeoff capability and can land in a space as small as a dining room table. It can hover up to two hours and maintain a hover up to 8000 ft, traveling up to 130nm at 70 kts.

Since my design uses the bell 206 airfile, fly it as you would the bell helicopter. I designed this aircraft because I like the unusual, and I like to pick designs that are at least on the drawing board (not fantasy) or in prototype (this prototype is in testing).

Since I am a beginning designer, I like to place all my designs in the public domain with the idea that other designers may take the model and run with it. To that end, I've included the fsds .fsc file The pilot was modified from Dave Eckert's sitting pilot. I just repositioned the arms and legs. Dave says you can use his pilot whenever you wish, but he would like you to mention his name if you use it. It is not to be used in commercial aircraft without Dave's prior written permission.
